Between July 1st and August 31st, a daily bus service will be available between three of Norway’s most iconic hikes – the Pulpit Rock, Kjerag and the Troll’s Tongue.
The hike up Pulpit Rock, which is located in the Lysefjord just outside Stavanger, is about two hours of rapid accent. With about 250 000 visitors per year, it’s one of the top attractions in Norway, as well as one of the most photographed. A less crowded option is the nearby mountain Kjerag which many visit for the famous Kjeragbolten, a stone wedged between two rocks which overlooks the fjord. Kjerag is also popular among base jumpers and climbers.
More experienced hikers may be interested in the Troll’s Tongue which is located in Odda, a few hours north. The hike takes a good 10 hours but offers an incredible view from the top.
The new daily bus service, which takes about four hours, will run in both directions and means that all three hikes can be done in three days.
